SKY TUNNEL (Daylight Lighting System)
Daylight is the natural radiation of the Sun and generally has a positive effect on people's mood, energy and biological rhythms. It also plays an important role in synthesizing vitamin D.
Daylight Lighting Systems; It is a technology system that takes daylight from outside in a regular way and carries and distributes it inside. The system works as follows; The special dome placed on the roof transfers daylight to the reflective channel. The daylight entering the reflective channel system is reflected and transmitted to the diffuser due to the high reflectivity of the channel. The diffuser provides natural lighting by homogeneously distributing the daylight transmitted to it.
The dome material to be placed on the roof has an impact resistance of 65 kJ/m² (at 23+°C) according to ISO 1801/A standard and a light transmittance of at least 88-92% according to ASTM D 1003 standards.
The dome is made of acrylic or polycarbonate material and has an optical design that allows the light to be received into the system and transferred into the reflective tube. It is a dome that captures daylight from dawn to dusk from every angle, has a strong resistance to yellowing and high heat permeability.
The reflective channel, which will reflect the light received from the dome to the system, has a reflection coefficient of 98.5% according to DIN 5036-3 standards and 99% according to ASTM E-1651 standards.
The reflective channel is made of 99.99% silver coated and 98.85% pure aluminum.
Reflective channel material is moisture resistant. In 40 °C -100% Rh test environment, the reflectivity coefficient of the reflective duct is over 97%.
Reflective channel material must be UV resistant. It has been tested under 65°C XENON radiation and has a reflectivity of over 98% under these conditions.
The diffuser, which will ensure homogeneous distribution of the light transmitted through the tube, has ultraviolet-resistant acrylic prismatic lenses.
As an option, if desired, the amount of light entering the room can be adjusted by remote control with a flap and an air exhaust system can be installed.

The Türkiye Electromechanical Industry Inc. (TEMSAN) factory is a continuous production facility and the right lighting conditions are of great importance for the comfort and productivity of the employees. Therefore, the factory management was looking for a modern lighting solution that provides more natural light and reduces energy costs.
Solution: SKY TUNNEL Daylight Lighting System:
As HAVAK ENDÜSTRİ A.Ş., we installed SKY TUNNEL devices to meet the needs of the management building and factory of Turkish Electromechanical Industry Inc. (TEMSAN) SKY TUNNEL naturally illuminated the environment by carrying the natural daylight from the factory roof into the factory.
Application and Results:
⌀ 535 mm SKY TUNNEL product was used for 36 m² area in the administration building of Türkiye Elektromekanik Sanayi A.Ş. (TEMSAN) and 10 pieces of ⌀ 535 mm SKY TUNNEL product was used for 360 m² area in total, 1 piece for each 36 m² area in the factory of Türkiye Elektromekanik Sanayi A.Ş. (TEMSAN). RIGID98 TUBE, which has 98% reflective feature and made of 1st class aluminum material, was used in the product. Since the maximum efficiency of the product occurs up to 6 meters, 6 meters of RIGID98 TUBE was used in the factory. In addition, for the sealing issue, the roof type of the administration building and the factory of Türkiye Electromechanical Industry Inc. (TEMSAN) was determined and the product suitable for these roof types was selected.
Conclusion:
The SKY TUNNEL daylight lighting system, which HAVAK INDUSTRY A.Ş. presented at the TEMSAN plant, is an excellent option for industrial facilities looking for a modern lighting solution. This innovative system utilizes the advantages of natural light while at the same time reducing energy costs and increasing employee comfort.
